Ha! Finally! I finished this project! Okay! First thing first, the photos--- (some rendered pictures) The final 3D paper model turn out great in my opinion. Since I am doing a Chinese knot for the project, of cause I choose the colour red for the main colour. At the same time, on the critique, we mentioned adding a 2d element on the model. And then I thought about a dragon pattern. I also document my process together. Not only because I think they are neat, but also it help me to go back to check my notes. I have a version on normal letter paper for me to take notes and photocopy, and a version on the card-stock just for cutting. Since it is 2d, just to help me visualize, I hand drew those on paper. For the start, I am not sure how is it going to turn out, so I cut out the shape on white card-stock and tried on my prototype that on last post.   This week, we got into the stage of first prototype.  So for my piece, I stated with printing the blue print of my paper 3d object. I put notes on each of them so I know which part of the object I am making. Also help me to think what is the easiest way to put them together since my piece is a complete close object. So it would be hard to stick all surface together when I close to the end. There are 10 pages in total, and I made some minor mistakes, but that's the problem that I can fix on my final piece. Next, I cut them all up and separated according to the colour that I gave them in Rhino. Which are yellow, blue and white. I am going to put together white and blue first since they are the main structure of the piece. And the yellow part represents the corners. I start to put some of the part together because I am way too excited so I want to see how is it going to turn out.
